About HAYi

Health Affairs for Youth Initiatives (HAYi) is a youth-focused social impact organization committed to advancing youth health, gender equity, and empowerment. We address the social determinants of health affecting vulnerable, marginalized, and differently-abled youth, ensuring they have the knowledge, services, and opportunities to thrive.

Sexual & Reproductive Health

Empowering learners with accurate SRHR knowledge to make safe and informed choices through school-based initiatives and peer education.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Supporting youth mental health through awareness, counseling services, and safe spaces for dialogue and support.

GBV Prevention & Safe Spaces

Creating safe spaces and implementing programs to prevent gender-based violence and support survivors through education and advocacy.

Leadership & Empowerment

Developing youth leadership skills, advocacy capabilities, and socio-economic opportunities for sustainable impact.

Menya, Wirinde, Ubeho

A school-based initiative empowering learners with accurate SRHR knowledge to make safe and informed choices.

  • Target Group: Students in secondary schools and out-of-school youth in Gatsibo, Karongi, and Nyarugenge districts.
  • Key Activities: Peer educator training, SRHR club strengthening, expert-led sessions, monitoring and evaluation, and endline reporting.
  • Duration: 6 months of comprehensive programming and support.
